A bounty of delicious beers and fantastic food awaits you at the Fillmore 13 in downtown Pontiac. A relaxed space to enjoy good beer with good company.
Fillmore 13 in Downtown Pontiac
Instead of hearing about the Fillmore 13 in downtown Pontiac through a beer festival or some other beer event, I was introduced to their great food and beer at Berserker Fest in April of 2017. Berserker moved to the Crofoot in Pontiac and providing some pizza and beer at the festival was Fillmore 13. They are located basically across the street from the Crofoot at 7 North Saginaw Street.
Ever since that first experience, I’ve wanted to get back over to Fillmore 13 in downtown Pontiac to check out the pub. When we headed up to 20 Front Street in Lake Orion to see our friend Katelynn Corll, we swung over to Pontiac for pre-show food and beer.
Inside The Pub
Fillmore 13 in downtown Pontiac has a great vibe as soon as you enter the door. The staff greeting you at the door are very friendly and their goal is for you to enjoy your experience at the pub. Seating is plentiful from large community tables to smaller intimate tables. The bar stools are big and comfortable. Throughout the pub, there is a relaxed and laid back feel.
Food and Beer
There is plenty to like about the food menu. We opted for pizza which was fantastic. The bonus was that we could get the pizza with vegan cheese. Prices were reasonable and portion size was good.
The real star of the show at Fillmore 13 in downtown Pontiac is the beer. Having had their awesome War Cry IPA at Berserker, I went with a sampler Saginaw Coffee Stout, Octo Omega Warrior double IPA, the Old Town Alt, and the Darker Shade of Pale which uses hops from our friends at Top Hops Farm in Goodrich. Each beer was good with the winner being the coffee stout. The double IPA was a close second.
When you are out and about near Pontiac, be sure to check out Fillmore 13. Hell, even if you aren’t out and about, get on over to Fillmore 13 in downtown Pontiac for a tasty beer and some delicious food.
