Fall Metal Festival 5 – Celebrating Michigan Metal!
Hard Edge Radio, Cabresto Tequila, and Life In Michigan banded together (no pun intended) to bring Fall Metal Festival 5 to the Diesel Concert Lounge on November 22 and 23 of 2014. The festival featured talented musicians from Michigan and Ohio who brought fierce and fiery metal music to over 700 fans. Featuring two stages, which were running back to back, this was a feast of continuous metal.
Beast In The Field with Blue Snaggletooth, Bison Machine, and Whaler – Michigan Rock Mayhem
Beast In The Field enveloped the small stage at Crossroads Bar in Ypsilanti with an enormous wall of sound richly harvested from all that is HEAVY in this world. This was the first stop of the “No One Survives Tour” featuring four amazing Michigan bands; Whaler, Bison Machine, Blue Snaggletooth, and Beast In the Field. Each band brought their own unique take on the genres of hard rock, doom, and stoner rock. The fans in attendance loved it.
Have you been Beyond Thule?

Falling Down Beer Company
We took a little trip out to Warren, Michigan to see what was up (pun intended) at Falling Down Beer Company. Happily we found great beer and superb food in a very unpretensious setting.
Violin Monster Invades Busch’s Market
As Brenda, Stephanie, and I crept down the aisle, a cool breeze tussled my beard and the hairs on my neck started to rise. We’d been told to beware of entering this place. It was said a black terror lurked within. Yet it was the sound of a violin that coyly called us. We rounded a corner and screamed! A vicious werewolf bearing a mouthful of daggers and claws like razors stood before us with a violin in hand. We stood in horror, sure that our end was near. The wolf man howled and we nearly lost our scenes. He then walked toward us and said…”Hey, you guys want a beer?”
Laith Al-Saadi at Sonic Lunch
Laith Al-Saadi smoked up some delicious blues guitar seasoned with his soulful vocals at Sonic Lunch in Ann Arbor, Michigan on 7-Aug-2014. Everyone at the packed Liberty Square plaza throughly enjoyed every ounce of Laith’s evocative music. What more could you ask for on a beautiful Thursday afternoon.
Dark Horse Nation Premiere
The premiere party for the Dark Horse Nation television series on the History channel was just as you would expect any Dark Horse Brewing party; bigger and better than the last one.
