Kickstand Brewing in Commerce Township offers up delectable beers and top notch food in a warm and friendly space.

You can’t miss Kickstand Brewing. Plug in 3050 Union Lake road in Commerce Township into your GPS and watch for a strip mall. Kickstand occupies a huge storefront with a big sign to lead you to their slice of paradise.
Once inside, the rustic feel of the brewery is welcoming. The space is open with options to enjoy the game on the televisions through out or tuck into a booth with friends.
The staff are some of the most friendly and accommodating folks we’ve had the pleasure of meeting. They were quick to make sure we had a beer in hand and checked back often to see that we had all we needed.

How is the beer?
The main event at Kickstand Brewing is the beer. They have a set of brews that you can always find on tap such as their Delalia IPA, which we first had at the Detroit Fall Beer Fest this year. In addition, there is a good-sized rotating tap selection, wine, and mixed drinks available.
We went with a flight to explore the offerings. Each beer was well-balanced with good flavor. The IPA was our favorite with its bright citrus nose and dry finish. The Hogtober fest was interesting with barely a hint of smoke from the grains that were smoked by Slows BBQ.
Now that is some damn good food!
While they have some tasty beers at Kickstand, you could go just for the food. The fish tacos were delicious. You won’t go away hungry as the portions were large and in charge. Just look at those bad boys.
Our visit to Kickstand Brewing in Commerce Township was well worth the drive. From outstanding service, to great beer and food, they are doing things right.
