Whew! We lived through Charlie Fest 50! AKA Chuck’s 50th Birthday Party.
We all knew Chuck would entertain us and he did not disappoint. He warned us and even sent email messages suggesting we clear our calendars. In the wee hours of April 3rd, Chuck emailed us an outline of the week’s activities for his birthday celebration.

I was but Chuck was just getting warmed up. On Thursday, April 10th was the LullWater Show at the Blind Pig and on Friday, April 11th, his actual birthday, Fuzz Fest at Woodruffs.

Chuck wanted a party for his friends. The criteria for the location:
- Must serve Michigan Beer
- Plenty of room for a band
- Good food
With a little luck a room was reserved at SideTrack in Ypsilanti’s Depot Town. Chuck booked Laith Al Saadi to play a few sets of music.
