The Beer Grotto just opened up in Ann Arbor, Michigan and we ran down on Saturday afternoon to explore the newest location and see what they were offering up on tap.
Beer Grotto – Ann Arbor
Over the summer, we traveled over to Dexter to check out the first Beer Grotto location. Since we call Ann Arbor home, we were excited to see the next Beer Grotto would be coming to Ann Arbor. The new place is located on the corner of Ashley and Liberty (303 S. Ashley to be precise).
36 Beers to choose from
The Beer Grotto in Ann Arbor has 36 taps of craft beer goodness. The majority of the taps are Michigan beers. I was happy to see that they had some of my favorites such as Dark Horse, Kuhnhenn, Shorts, Oddsides, and Greenbush. They also have a bunch of wine and a few ciders.
Cozy and bright
The layout of the Ann Arbor location is a wee bit smaller than the Dexter store. They have a ton of natural light flooding the main sitting area with old oak barrels tables and beautiful polished wood high tops. There is also a cozy loft area to kick back with your favorite beverage. Its a bit too cold to use right now, but they have a very nice patio off the west end of the building.
Transport your beer
Just like in Dexter, you can enjoy a beer at the Beer Grotto and then take some home to savor in your living room. They also have some cool shirts, some nifty stainless steal mugs, and a super cool knuckle growler. Basically, if you need something to hold your beverage in, the Beer Grotto has you covered.
The Beer Grotto adds another fine venue for sampling great Michigan beer and wine in Ann Arbor. Drop into the gallery to check out more pictures of our adventure.
